Fair play
Debate rules
Last updated October 2026
Rebuttl is about what you can argue on the spot. Ranked results only mean something if everyone plays by the same rules, so breaking these can cost you the match, your rating, or your account.
1. Your own head only
Prepare as much as you like before you queue. Once you hit Join queue, everything else goes away: no AI assistants, search, notes, scripts, second screens, chat feeds, or anyone helping you. That lasts until the result appears, including the prep timer.
2. One person per account
The person on camera is the person debating. No tag-teaming, no shared accounts, no coaching off-screen.
3. Argue the idea, not the person
Slurs, hate speech and harassment of other debaters aren’t allowed — in a match or anywhere else on Rebuttl.
4. Keep the stream clean
Don’t show, play or link anything illegal or explicit, and don’t tamper with your audio or video or exploit bugs to gain an edge.
5. No rating games
Alt accounts are fine, but using one to dodge a ban, or arranging matches to trade wins or pad a rating, will get every account involved suspended.
